I can count, but I have a deep respect for anyone who can hold a steady beat for more than half a minute. I can’t even manage that, so . . . yeah. Believe me, it’s appreciated.
LOL! Reminds me of preparing for a recital back in uni and my accompanist correcting me on a rhythmic passage while commenting that I wasn’t anywhere near as bad at counting as the opera singers she usually worked with 🙂
Same kinda goes or sight-reading. I once asked my (Curtis-trained) college teacher tpo help me learn to sight read better, and she just looked at me, all confused, and said, ‘I can’t see how that would help you at all….’ Sigh.
People forget that the first half-millennium or more of Western classical music was basically invented/created by singers… including rhythmic notation.
Haha, hilarious. I was in drumline, and it was all about countingcountingcounting. Funny how keeping tempo isn’t as universal as you would think…
If you ever have or had any wedding posts I am looking for good content to share! Love the music ones too! Good job!
Fantastic!

As a singer this hurts… Because it is true. 🙂 -Miss E
hilarious – I can barely count! If I didn’t sing mostly by “ear”, I’d be lost! And frequently am.
thanks for reading my blog – yours is fun and I’ll enjoy following.
This blog is ingenious.
